Abstract

The focus of KM research has traditionally been on static tasks like codification and storage, with DKM serving as a mediator that can facilitate organizational agility and innovation performance. A structural equation modeling retrieval of organizational knowledge is also proposed in the paper. In information technology (IT) organizations, knowledge management requires a more flexible and adaptable approach that involves continuously sensing, integrating, and reconfiguring knowledge assets to keep up with changing technological and competitive environments. Through the use of a conceptual and empirically testable model, this paper investigates the impact of technological capability and intellectual capital on dynamic knowledge management (DKM) practices in IT organizations. Based on the dynamic capabilities view, the knowledge-based view of the firm, and intellectual capital theory, this paper suggests that technological capability and DKM serve as mutual predecessors. These capabilities are complemented by each other in terms of complexity, organizational agility, innovation performance, human, structural capacity, or technical expertise. The presentation includes a proposal and demonstration of an assumed measurement and structural model for the application of structural equation modeling (SEM), as well as examining the use of partial least squares SEM (PLS-SEO) or covariance-based SEMA with survey data from IT professionals. The paper concludes by highlighting theoretical contributions, managerial implications for agile technology organizations, limitations, and future research directions.
