The rapid growth of intelligent transportation systems, mobile wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous vehicles, and smart city infrastructures has significantly increased the demand for intelligent, adaptive, and reliable communication frameworks. Traditional Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) and Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) face several challenges such as dynamic topology changes, high node mobility, routing instability, communication delay, packet loss, network congestion, scalability limitations, and security vulnerabilities. Conventional routing protocols are often unable to provide efficient communication performance in highly dynamic wireless environments due to their static and non-adaptive routing mechanisms. Therefore, the development of intelligent cooperative communication systems has become essential for supporting next-generation wireless communication networks. This research proposes a Multi-Agent Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based cooperative communication framework for Hybrid MANET-VANET architectures. The proposed framework integrates the flexibility of MANETs with the vehicular communication capabilities of VANETs to create a decentralized, adaptive, and intelligent communication environment.
