This article assesses recent legislative and policy developments, such as the institutional arbitration movement and online dispute resolution. The study takes a socio legal view of ADR and explores its potential to resolve commercial, matrimonial and community-based disputes. The Study ends with suggestions to the India ADR framework for making it more accessible, credible and enforceable.
