Abstract

 

Today, the Internet is increasingly used to transfer data from one end to another. Due to advancements in digital technologies, copying digital data over the Internet has become faster. Consequently, the unauthorized copying and distribution of data over the Internet has also increased. To protect against unauthorized copying and distribution of digital media, digital watermarking techniques have been developed. Digital watermarking is the process of embedding a digital mark into the digital media using specific algorithms. In this paper, two algorithms, the spatial domain LSB algorithm and the transform domain sub-band DCT algorithm, are simulated using MATLAB and compared.
