Abstract

This paper presents a review of different ECG compression techniques using wavelet transform. We have studied various ECG compression techniques, and the resultant conclusions are published within this paper. There are several techniques that are popular for ECG compression, with wavelet-based techniques being the most popular and conveniently implementable. In this paper, we provide a brief description of many of these techniques and elaborate on those that form the basis of our future work.
